Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ophelia
2yr old
Hound/Vizsla?? mix
38 lbs
**Warning***-Pictures do NOT do this girl justice, she is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Miss Ophelia is a true gem of a dog. She has beautiful, silky, auburn fur and soft brown eyes that reflect what a sweetheart she is. She's fully housebroken and is great with other dogs, cats and kids. Being a southern girl from Tennessee, she wasn't fond of the cold but now, she absolutely loves running and leaping through the snow.
She also loves playing with her toys and wrestling with her foster brothers, does well in a crate when we are away and is good having her freedom overnight. She's great at cuddling next to her people on the couch and snuggling in bed. If you get chilly at night... she's better than a heating pad!
If you're looking for a more mature girl who is both a soft cuddle-bug and a funny, playful and energetic wiggle-butt, please come meet her to find out if she's a perfect match!
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
