My story

This absolutely delightful little piebald cutie pie is named Rita and she's looking for her forever home - maybe it's with you??

Rita is about 2.5 years old and is spayed, Heartworm negative and on preventative, she's had all of her vaccines and she's house broken and crate trained. She's currently in a home with another female Carolina Dog and a cat and she does well with them. She loves the outdoors so an active home would be best for her. She's unsure around very young children so a home with older children or an adult only home would work perfectly for her! She's very intelligent and knows all of her commands and thrives on interaction and going on adventures.
Originally from Texas, Rita is now in upstate NY and loves the 4 seasons and all they offer...from running and playing in the snow to rolling around in the meadows in summer time - she's a happy girl.
It may take a bit for her to warm up to new people but once she's bonded with you she'll be your best friend forever!
Unfortunately a new baby in the house has caused her family to look for a new home for her - as we said she does wonderfully with older children though. Not an easy decision for her family, but the best one for all involved.
So if you're looking for a sweet, happy pup that loves the outdoors then you need look no further!
