Meet Gentry. Gentry was given this name because he had been roaming Gentry Pkwy for several months scavenging for food and looking for a place to stay safe. He is a 1 year old poodle mix and weighs about 17lbs. We finally caught Gentry after being on the run for so long and he has changed personalities significantly. No more is he a loaner and scared but is quite the opposite. He wants to be in your lap all the time or on your heels walking around the house. He doesn’t like to stay outside but will go outside to potty and run with the other dogs a little but then wants right back in and makes a beeline to the middle of my bed. Gentry doesn’t like to be crated and can be a little protective of his food. He wears a belly band in the house because he isn’t quite house trained. He does know how to use a doggy door. He does well with other dogs and cats as best we can tell. Gentry is now up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, is a slight heartworm positive, but because he is so young it is best he stay on heartworm prevention and be retested in 6 months. Gentry is on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. He was recently groomed too. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He is showing signs of having separation anxiety.
