Hi, my name is Kiera and I’m a playful 2 year old girl. I was picked up as a stray in Southern California and was in a kill shelter, which was very scary. Fortunately for me, the nice people with Moonsong came to my rescue and transported me to Idaho where I am excitedly waiting for my furever home.
During the short time I’ve called Idaho home, people have learned that I’m a love bug! I love to be petted, especially having my back rubbed and love leaning against people. Walks are one of my favorite activities; although I do like to lunge and pull while on the leash, but it’s mainly because I am SO excited. Even though I’m only two, I have pretty good manners, am crate and house trained too! I’ve learned to trot next to a bike with a springer attachment, which was a lot of fun, but I don’t like barking, fence running dogs. With careful introductions, I’m friendly with other dogs.
One other thing you need to know about me is I’ve been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. Lucky for me Moonsong raised funds from our wonderful supporter's and I've already had surgery on one hip. It was painful at first, but I'm recovering well and taking short walks and soon will be good to go! Then I guess we start fundraising for surgery on my other hip and I'll be nearly bionic!
