PLEASE READ BIO BEFORE EMAILING WITH ANY QUESTIONS AS WE TRY TO INCLUDE ALL INFORMATION THAT IS KNOWN. WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WORKING FULL-TIME JOBS AND APOLOGIZE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND TO EVERYONE.

Nash is a 3 yr old male chi mix that weighs 12 lbs. He was rescued from a high- kill shelter and is very grateful for the help he has received. He is skittish until he becomes very familiar with you and is not recommended for children. He is neither crate nor house trained. He walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs and cats.

He has been neutered, current on all vaccines including rabies and bordetella, heartworm and fecal negative and microchipped. He has been started on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative. All dogs shed and he is not recommended for anyone suffering with allergies.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

***Please be advised you must live in or near the Tampa area and be able to provide an established veterinary reference to adopt from our organization and no children under 6 years please. Preference is given to homeowners and with some breeds we will not consider renters of any type.

1. Submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. It can take 3 - 7 days to process an application. Please notify your vet's office that we may be contacting them and to release information to us.

2. Background checks, vet references and verification of home ownership will be done. If we are considering a renter, landlords will be contacted to ensure breed mixture and size of dog is permitted and if a pet deposit is required.

3. You will ONLY be contacted if your application is approved to arrange a homevisit. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs and due to high volume apologize that we are unable to respond to everyone

Filling out an application is an important first step in our adoption process. These can be submitted online at our website: www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org.

Meeting the dog you are interested in, asking questions and talking with the foster parent(s) about their foster pup is the next step.

The foster parent will do a thorough check of your completed application (especially vet references) and possibly do a home visit with their foster dog before making a decision on their placement. (This is not 'first come, first served'. We only complete adoptions to homes that offer what is best & needed for our foster dogs; ie. a fenced yard, someone home longer hours with the dog, etc )
