For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Artemis is a sweet girl who has made great strides in her foster home.
Spayed Female
7 Years Old
70 Pounds
German Shepherd Mix
Artemis was found on the streets of San Antonio. She was underweight with a large open abscess that has since healed. She was also Heartworm Positive, but completed treatment. At the beginning she screamed out when touched, obviously abused (I don't say that easily. I know not every rescue dog was abused).
She has been in foster care for 6 months now. She has made great strides and I have been taking her to cage free doggy day care to help her get more used to people and dogs. She becomes very attached to people once she is comfortable with them, and would make someone a very loving pet. She seems more comfortable around dogs that are smaller than her, but she is getting better since going to daycare.
