Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.
This is the information that we received from Stella's current owner:
I don’t know how she would do with cats as she has never been around them. She’s lived with a Miniature Schnauzer for her entire 2.5 years, and we haven’t had an incident between them until recently; although she has shown aggression towards small dogs at dog parks before. She has grown up with our daughters ranging from 9 and under. She is amazing with people and our four daughters. She has never met a person she didn’t like or hasn’t gotten along with. She is extremely comfortable with touch all over her body including feet’s, ears, mouth and teeth. She also handles grooming well, and doesn’t mind being brushed. She loved to follow you around the house, and just wants to be nearby. She loves a good squirrel to chase and loves a good ball throw in the back yard. She is a little hard on the go on the leash because she is excited for the walk, but once moving for a little bit, she calms down. She barks and pulls at other dogs when on the leash.
We are including a whole bag of toys for her, collar, defurminator and kennel. It is a hard and heart breaking decision to make, but we simply can’t risk her getting into a tussle with the small dog and our girls accidentally getting in the middle.
Again, I can’t stress what a sweet girl Stella is, and I’m really hoping she finds her way into a good home that can give her the attention she needs.
