Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful border collie mix is just a doll. He is approx 6 years old and 47 lbs. He was found wandering the streets and is still underweight - we continue to give him good food and he should add on another 10 lbs. He has a wonderful disposition and personality and his foster mom say he gets along with everyone. He loves toys and loves her teenage grandsons. He is quiet and well behaved and is going to make a super companion for someone. It is our rescue policy that we require a home with no children under the age of 10 years. He did test positive for heart worms and has been treated with the recommended series of injections, we usually find that the dogs test negative after 4-6 months and we require that the dogs be kept on heart guard monthly as a heart worm preventative.
The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care. Our adoption application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
