What a ride it has been for Lemon Meringue! Many of you might remember when she first joined TKN. More than one veterinarian felt her advanced mammary tumors did not leave her with long to live. She went to live with one of our wonderful foster families to be loved and cherished for as long as she had left. Then, she delivered kittens - surprise!! - yet, she still had the tumors. It didn't look good. Dr. Lewis, the wonderful veterinarian who helps TKN, said she wanted to take another look at Lemon just to make sure the diagnosis was correct.
A couple of weeks ago, Dr. Lewis gave us the good news. Lemon Meringue has mammary hyperplasia which is not cancer!!! She has been spayed and may always have a bit of an odd looking belly but, then, who doesn't:)? Her kittens are charming (there are only 3 left) and so is she.
Lemon Meringue is fine with other cats or as an only cat. She enjoys playing and has a particular fondness for the homemade catnip pillows her human foster sister makes for her. She is comfortable with respectful dogs.
She would do well in any family who enjoys a cat who wants to be with them whether playing or getting rubs. Once again, we thank Clinton County Animal Control for getting her to safety and giving her a chance even in her quite rough condition. Lemon Meringue is available for adoption and ready to sweeten your life!!
