Meet Niles!
This handsome sweet young guy was on his own and near starvation when he arrived at a shelter last December. Niles has put on some weight since then and is enjoying all efforts to further that along! He's approximately 11 months old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
Niles is excellent in his crate, well-mannered indoors and on car rides, and very quiet–except for when he does a beautiful deep "alert" bark. He's perfectly house-trained, but doesn't appear to have had much training beyond that. Niles is ready and willing to learn, and is currently working on leash manners and basic commands in his foster home.
Lithe, agile, and athletic, Niles will make a wonderful jogging companion and could be a great candidate for agility training!
Niles enjoys chasing his GSD foster sister around and gets along well with other dogs he has met. Occasionally he's a bit shy and overwhelmed at first–especially when meeting multiple dogs–and the same goes with people. Not surprising given his past! Niles is learning very quickly that his new world is a fun safe place, and he just needs a little time and patience to grow into the confident and well-adjusted dog he wants to be.

The adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.
Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.
