My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cali, a pretty dilute calico, lost her home at the end of January when her elder companion had to go into a nursing facility. She seems a bit confused as to how she ended up living in a cage, and also a little heartbroken as well. She is a very sweet young cat, playful as well, very social and likes love and affection, and though she doesn't like to be held for very long, she is easy to pick up and handle. She is good with the other shelter cats, and particularly enjoys nosing about the cat room with a young male cat. She has the disposition of a cat who will be good with children of all ages. We're not yet sure how she feels about dogs, but if you are interested in making her a part of your family and you have a dog, just let us know and we'll introduce her to a shelter dog and get her opinion.

Cali is about 2 years old, is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please). For more information or an adoption application, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Sat 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
