BUTTERSCOTCH is a 10-year-old Ruby male, weighing approximately 21 pounds, that came to CRF as an owner surrender as they no longer had the time and resources this handsome fell needs to be in tip-top shape. We took him in knowing he has a cardiac issue, so we made his evaluation with the cardiologist our top priority. Butterscotch has a murmur and a slight cough, but he's now on the correct medications which have stabilized his heart. He was cleared for his dental, where he had 13 teeth removed. But no matter to him, he's feeling and eating great! It's now time for him to find his forever home.
Butterscotch does have cataracts in one eye, but given his age and the cardiac risk to multiple anesthetic procedures, his dental to clear him of rotting teeth, infection and discomfort took precedent. He gets drops
Butterscotch is a doll with people. And he gets along with other dogs his size, but he would be best in a home that gives him a spot of his own to eat and get his treats. He will benefit from continued training on manners also.
