My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a petite, black & white 4 years old Siberian husky. She weighs 41 lbs, has a short to medium coat, is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She is a sweet and calm girl that would do best in a low-key home with an older (large) dog or as an only dog. She needs to be reminded of her potty-training skills so patience with her would work best as new environments can be stressful and scary for anyone. She does well in a crate while riding in the car and is doing good when crated in the house for short spirts of time. Bella has lupus; more specifically Discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) which is an uncommon autoimmune disease of the basal cell layer of the skin on her nose. DLE is fairly easy to treat, and your vet will focus on healing and controlling any sores, lesions, or ulcers that may appear. Topical steroids are often use to suppress the immune system response and reduce inflammation. Supplements, including Vitamins B and E and Omega-3 fatty acids, may also be given. Exposure to ultraviolet light, including sunlight, should be limited as this worsens the condition. Please don't let this deter you from wanting to adopt this unbelievably sweet girl. She's full of life and love and ready for a new adventure with you!! Bella is seeking a furever home with no cats or small dogs (NO EXCEPTIONS), someone who works from home, who is retired or can take her to work with you, a secure fence/backyard, and Northern breed experience. You must be 21 years of age or older, no apartments or condos, meet & greet along with a home check are all required. Bella's adoption fee is $200.
