Callisto, 7 months, Female, Presa Canario, brindle

Accepting applications from the Chicago and Saint Louis metro areas only.

She is all puppy. At home she will play, play, play and play some more. She gets distracted way too easily. She hasn't fully comprehended the purpose of going potty outside ONLY yet.
Shoes are her favorite chew toy and she doesn't hesitate to climb onto anything she decides is fun to explore. we haven't had any issues with sharing food, toys and bones with anyone. She is treat motivated and knows sit and crate very well (with no distractions).

Car rides make an upset tummy. Although she does enjoy getting out of the house to go on a new adventure.
Outside the home she still needs ALOT of socialization with strangers and other dogs. She is much calmer and prefers to people watch in a new environment. It takes a while for her to be comfortable with strangers. And if she will allow petting, it must be under her chin or her shoulders NEVER over her head (this is a trust issues). Once you earn her trust though, she will let you do anything to her. Ears, belly rubs, mouth...you name it.

Callisto has done well with the Great Danes and cats in her foster home, she has not met any smaller dogs. She would prefer a fenced yard to keep her safe and to romp in.

Interested adopters must have guardian breed experience and is a Saint Louis or Chicago metro areas adoption only.

Callisto's adoption fee is 600.00 and she has been fully vetted. Interested adopters must submit an adoption application through our website, steppingstonebully.org.
