My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hawkeye was surrendered due to very sad circumstances which had nothing to do with him at all. Hawkeye is about 10 years old but don't let his age fool you. This chocolate lab mix boy still loves to play and go for car rides. He also loves belly rubs, is very affectionate and would love to be a big lap dog. Hawkeye knows basic commands and is housebroken. Just like people, Hawkeye gets along fine with some dogs (preferably females) but can be picky about others that he will call his friend - because of this we recommend him being the only dog in the home. He can also be possessive of his food and toys which may have stemmed from being abandoned and starved when he was very young. Hawkeye is looking for a warm bed and a family who would love him for the rest of his life. Hawkeye weighs about 57 pounds. Please help Hawkeye find a loving home to live out his golden years.

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Hawkeye's adoption fee is $200. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
