Filly is a beautiful dark red pit bull mix. She is now about 3 years old. She came to Illinois Humane at the special request of the animal control center's kennel manager who had fallen in love with her, believed her to be of exceptional temperament and just very much wanted to save her. Filly needs a home with humans who are experienced handlers and will maintain good pack structure. She will do best in a home that has a means by which Filly can get ample exercise. She is a high-energy, intelligent girl. She can be dog-aggressive. Due to her need for structure and excellent handling, she should be in a home in which she will be handled in a consistent manner by adults. She generally loves children, but is best in a home with no small children, In return for providing good handling, ample exercise and good structure, the home will get a very affectionate, smart, attractive, loyal canine companion. Filly is housebroken, crate-trained, up-to-date on shots, spayed, microchipped and has no medical problems.
