My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who is this debonair gentleman you ask? This is Peanut, an amazing older guy who, just like a fine wine, has aged beautifully. You would never know it, but Peanut lived his entire life on a chain until a couple years ago, when he was freed by a humane officer and found a loving foster to adopt home in rescue. When he joined his former foster mom it was as if he'd been there for years as Peanut had zero issues settling into life indoors and quickly became BFFs with that cat. Sadly, when his foster mom started a new job with super long hours she realized that it wouldn't be fair for Peanut to stay forever and so the search for his 'retirement home' continues. 
Peanut is about 13 years old now, but don't tell him that! He has a great, happy energy about him, but is of course much more laid back than his younger buddies. He walks amazingly on leash, making those evening strolls so enjoyable, is polite and well-mannered, and loves being close to his people. He's perfectly content relaxing by your side or with his head on your lap and would make a great go to work dog for anyone lucky enough to work in a dog friendly office. He does great with both dogs and cats as well. If you are looking for an easy going companion to spend your days with, Peanut has lots of love to give and might just be your guy. He'd love to meet you!
