This is handsome Champ, a playful, young (10 months old), sweet German Shepherd who nearly lost his life because the owners didn’t know this 6 mo. old puppy they just adopted 2 days earlier was just scared in its new home and they mis-took his fear for aggression. Luckily for a good Vet & some great people, Champ, was rescued from unnecessary euthanasia, is in his foster home getting attention and love and is now ready for his forever home.
For at least 6 weeks, Champ has been residing in a home with a 10 year old child and 2 other German shepherds. He was a bit scared at first, but quickly came around. He loves playing with the kids, especially, when playing with a ball. He did great when family from out of town visited with kids and another dog. There have been no indications of aggression from this puppy. He has been great with children and good with other dogs. As a puppy, he wants to play and chew so he requires lots of chew toys. His favorite chew is nothing more than a smoked bone. He loves chasing balls, but his catching skills need some work. He walks extremely well on a leash with a prong collar. He is quite strong for a puppy and quite large in size, but don’t let his size fool you as he is a gentle giant. Champ will do great in a home where his owners have another dog and time to spend with him. They will have to give him the exercise and play time he needs in a fenced yard. He is very smart and learns quickly. He loves attention and wants to be loved. This is easy as he is so loveable.
Champ is a young, male, GSD 10 months old, neutered, current on all shots and in great health and understands simple commands. He is housebroken and crate trained.
