Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ebbie is doing great and has really settled in. She is getting along much better with the other cats and even wants to play with them. She is a real character. She loves to play with just about anything and is very entertaining in the process! I think she has finally realized that she is safe and that there will always be someone there to love her and fill her bowl each day. She is a very sweet and special kitty. Please consider adopting this sweetheart today.
Ebbie is a sweet little female kitty that is guaranteed to be the smartest kitty around. Well, at least that is what she tells us! She has been living at an elementary school since May and doing her best in summer school. The people that worked there during the summer started to feed her and she decided it was a great place to stay. But now that school has started back it is getting dangerous for her. There are lots of cars and kids and the school doesn't appreciate it when she sneaks into the building! This is why Ebbie is looking for a new home, inside, away from the dangers of the outside world. Ebbie is super sweet and loves to be petted and to rub against your leg. She is a very beautiful girl with gorgeous long black fur. Her pictures do not do her justice. She appears to be somewhere around 1 year old and is in good health. Ebbie is Felv/FIV negative and current on vaccinations. She has been spayed and microchipped.
UPDATE: 11/5/08 Ebbie is getting used to life with the rescue and we are learning more about her everyday. She loves to be petted and she likes to play with toys and explore, but she is not overly hyper. As soon as she was cleared of her parasites we allowed her around the other cats and quickly learned she wasn't interested in them being around her at all. We have been working with her though and she is now quite comfortable with the other cats. We are planning to try some short playtimes with some of the other cats to see how they go because up until now Ebbie has only interacted with the other cats through her cage. Safety is a priority and we don't want any of the cats getting hurt. We have found the best way to deal with most cat problems is very slowly, so we are taking introductions a day at a time. So far everything is going great! Do to the way she was with cats we have held off on introducing her to any dogs just yet so we are unsure how she will do with them. She also seems to like to be petted, but isn't too fond of being picked up. She is however fine once you hold her against you. Ebbie's nickname has become "The Great Explorer" because she loves to explore everywhere, especially high places. She would love some cat furniture in her new home, especially if it was the floor to ceiling type. She loves to survey her territory from above! Overall, I think she will make someone a great companion. Please consider adopting her today. Can't Adopt? Sponsor Me!
