Colin is an older Airedale/possibly German shepherd mixed-breed who is an ambassador for senior dogs! He came to Illinois Humane as a New Hope dog, recovered from animal control. He was weak-heartworm-positive, but has finished both treatments for heartworm and is feeling oh so much better! Colin is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and looking for loving, appreciative folks to spend his time with. This handsome, friendly fellow is about 7 years old He is very good with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys visiting nursing homes with Illinois Humane volunteers. Colin is used to the crate, but he really doesn’t like it and his foster dad has been confining him to limited spaces in the house when he is away and that has worked fine. To visit with Colin, please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, on the first and fourth ,Sundays, 11 a.m. 3 p.m. PetsMart on the second and third Sundays (same times) or call Illinois Humane at (217) 698-3804 to arrange for a visit with Colin.
