Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet beautiful Bella! This sweet brindle girl is about 3 years old and is being fostered near Houston, TX. Bella is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is heartworm positive, but has started slow kill treatment, which is easy to administer and can be finished in her forever home. Bella has a slight neurological deficit on the right side of her face, which the vet says is nothing to worry about and doesn't affect her eating, just gives her a smile that’s all her own. She loves to run around, play hard, and can handle a very active lifestyle, as long as there is equal time to snuggle in bed or on the couch. Bella has been great with the dogs she's met, both male & female. She’s been good with dog-savvy cats, but occasionally thinks they like to play like dogs and needs to be reminded that cats aren’t dogs! Bella is a great dog, except she is protective of her food, toys, and where she is sleeping when another dog is around. ABARS was told she was abused earlier in life, so she will shy away sometimes if she thinks she’s in trouble, or cry if you accidentally step on her foot. Bella is doing well with crate-training in a heavy-duty crate, regular ones are easy for her to escape, so the stronger ones make her feel secure. Bella's ideal home would be with an active adult only home with experience in large breeds, which loves to go out and do things with other dogs/people, but then come back home to where she was the only dog and would not have to share her favorite things. She will need a secure yard, because she LOVES to run & play!
