My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He is a Hurricane Harvey survivor and was scooped up by an amazing young woman in a canoe who was looking for abandoned dogs after the hurricane passed. Despite that traumatic experience, Winnie is the most lovable and sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. All he wants to do is crawl up in your lap and snuggle and make sure he’s the first one to greet you when you walk into the room.

He gets along with everyone and dog he meets and is doing well in one of our training programs. Our best guess is that Winnie was an outside dog and really didn’t have any manners when we first met him. Once he realized that treats were everywhere when he properly responded to his commands, he became an eager learner.

Winne would be a great pet for people and families of all ages.

Once you’ve had a chance to meet Winnie, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with him, just like we did.
