My story

Mars was born in June of 2012 and weighs about 55 pounds. She is a little shy at first but once she warms up she becomes very friendly and affectionate. She likes to play with most dogs and walks well on a leash. She rides politely in the car and is a patient beauty. Mars will bark to let you know when a stranger shows up, but she is too shy to be aggressive. Mars just wants to be loved and treated kindly. She is ready to join her forever home. Adopter has 30 days for 100% refund or exchange for different pet.

Located in the Mission area, Cinderella Pet Rescue, as an all-volunteer organization, schedules appointments for people to meet the animals at the shelter or in a foster home. Additionally pets are taken twice monthly to pet store for adoption events. Dates and locations are posted on our website and Facebook page.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
