My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Callie is estimated to be approximately 2-3 years old and is a true "Texas special" - our best guess is that she is a shepherd-beagle mix. She weighs approximately 25 pounds and is being fostered in Massachusetts. She had a very rough start to her life where she was allowed to climb the wire fence and roam the neighborhood, and was eventually left behind when her family moved. She is very shy at first but sweet. She does fine in a crate but really prefers to be in her humans' bed, snuggled up tight on those cold winter nights! She is sweet and gentle and loves her treats and takes them so gently from your hand as if she is savoring every moment. She cannot be placed in a home with a chain link (metal/wire) fence as we feel she will be able to climb it, a wooden privacy fence would be fine as long as she is monitored. She also has some separation anxiety so the ideal home for her would be one where someone was home a lot, worked from home, or was able to take her to work with them. She would be great with older kids. This loyal lady is looking for a place she can call home forever - could it be yours?

Adoption fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, USDA transport, vaccines, health certificate and Massachusetts mandatory animal quarantine.
