Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ FULL description before applying: Sox is a sweetheart and apparently didn't get the memo that siamese-zy kitties are often aloof. Not this girl! She adores attention, is very social and will expect her spot on the bed curled up next to you. She is a teenager kitty about 7 months old and was a stray taken in by a local family. Her future was uncertain until she became a Caswell Pet Lifeline rescue kitty.
Potential adopters please read full history below and complete online adoption interest form. Link is below. NO PHONE CALLS as we are foster home based rescue and no not have a shelter. Adopter will need to meet and complete adoption in the Danville, VA area as this is closest to her foster home. www.caswellpetlifeline.org/wp/adoption-application
We had Sox spayed and vaccinated, and a few weeks later her foster family noticed a knot on her right leg. The vet decided to remove the mass and send for biopsy. The results were benign and it appears she had a localized inflammatory reaction to a rabies vaccination. The mass was removed and she needed 10 stitches but she has healed beautifully and the hair is just beginning to grow back. She will need an adopter with an established vet relationship so Sox can have ongoing vet care to watch for any issues that may arise in the future. She may never develop a mass again but the vet cannot be certain. Care will need to be taken for any future vaccinations.
Caswell Pet Lifeline is a 501c3 organization made up of all volunteers. We have no paid positions or shelter facility. All rescue cats and kittens are cared for in volunteer foster homes. Our adoption fee is $80 and 100% of fee goes to provide vet care for our rescue kitties.
