My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING - NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS ON MR.HIGGINS AS OF 1/26/18
Mr. Higgins is always the life of the party & struts around like he owns the place wherever he goes. He is personality-plus and melts the hearts of everyone he meets. Mr. Higgins loves absolutely everyone...dogs of all sizes, cats, kids, adults. He's the fun gay uncle we all have in our family (he told us to include that!). Mr. Higgins is a rainbow of colors that will light up any room and bring a smile to your face. He deserves the very best home where he will be spoiled beyond his dreams. We simply adore him, and know you will too!

Mr. Higgins in a purebred French Bulldog approximately 7 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. He will need to receive daily eye drops for dry eye. Mr. Higgins was given life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, including pets (dogs not cats), to be present for an appointment.Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/  We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#.
