Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hope is an adorable girl with a soft somewhat fuzzy coat that is black, with white areas covered with black freckles on her feet, belly and nose. She is a littel shy at first, but if you will give her a belly rub she will love you forever. She loves to play in the backyard with her sister Amber and neither dog has shown any aggression problems.
Her approximate date of birth is July 4,2008
She is heartworm negative, is on normal schedule for all her vaccinations, and is very healthy.
She appears to be part Basset Hound since she is very long bodied with short legs. Due to Hope and Amber's coloring, coat texture and head shape we believe they are also mixed with a Spaniel type, probably Springer Spaniel but we are not certain. Their mother was a very small black Spaniel type who got away from her owners and went on a "speed dating" tour, and of course came home pregnant. Hope and Amber have been at the Fairfield County Animal Shelter, and are now in foster care with Sunset Animal Rescue thanks to their mothers owners care and concern for their future. We estimate Hope and Amber will be on the small side like their mother and weigh about 30-40 pounds when full grown, of couse we can't promise that since we have not seen the father. Hope's measurements are 15 inches high at the shoulder and 21 inches long. Hope is the cutest little girl, and her pictures just do not show how adorable she is. If you would like more information about Hope or Amber please email us at Sunsetanimalrescue@yahoo.com or phone 803-635-4252 and leave a message. Both girls will need a fenced yard.
