My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little ball of cuteness, Sir Walter Chew Bacca-we call him Chewie, is now up for adoption to a home that understands chi behavior. He was rescued from the euthanasia list at Franklin County Dog Pound for behavior. Let me emphasize, this is typical chi behavior in a chaos environment. He did fear bite a friend that went with me to pull him-I handed him over to her to unlock my van and he snagged her good. I take entire blame for this and should have known better. This pup was beyond scared and reacted like many dogs would.
This is a lover of a dog as long as you let him accept you on his timetable and his terms...took him less than a day to accept me. If you force yourself on him, rush at him, spook him, he will bite out of fear-he is NOT aggressive in any way and he has not nor will he bite me, because I gave him his space and let him decide. He seems to have more fear of men. But this dog is the sweetest and most loyal and playful companion....he loves to chase your hand across the floor like a cat. He loves to be held and rubbed gently. He does amazingly well with all my dogs, from 20 pounds to over 100 lbs and he is a in-your-face type of playmate for them. I think secretly they laugh at this 8 lb ball of fur and just let him do what he does :). I have not cat tested him so I have no idea how he would be. I personally feel he would chase them just wanting to play.
I have not leashed him yet so I have no clue how he is on a leash. He's so tiny, I have carried him everywhere we've gone. Because he does fear-bite, he cannot go to a home with young children. Fenced yard is ideal and preferred. He is house broken, but has and will go potty on pee pads. I have never crated him and do not ever want him crated.
He will have a minimal adopt fee. Sir Walter Chew (Chewie) Bacca is about a year old, maybe a few months added on there. Fully vetted-neutered, UTD, on all preventatives and hw negative. He weighs about 8-9 lbs and is fully grown.
Requirements to adopt Chewie:
A completed adoption application.
A vet ref and a professional ref
An indoor home only and a fenced yard is preferable
All your present pets must be fully vaccinated and altered as well as on all preventatives. Unless your vet provides a medical reason why not.
A home check and an initial meet and greet is required for "approved" adoption applicants-you will be notified once you are approved.
