My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Schroeder was born on 10/06/08 to a 12 lb blonde wire haired dog that was brought to us as a stray. She (the mother) has a fantastic disposition! We don't know what the father was, but 3 of the pups were wire haired just like Mom, and 1 female is a smooth black & tan that most looks like a Dachshund! Schroeder is a wiggly, lovable pup! He has now been neutered and had all 3 puppy shots and he has been wormed. He will still need a rabies when he is 4 months old. We have not begun his housebreaking yet - but he is paper trained and will also use a litter box with newspapers in it. Whoever adopts him will have to be able to commit to the next 14 - 17 years he might live. We limit our adoptions to within 200 miles of Peoria, IL so that he can be more easily returned if the adoption doesn't work out.
