Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kris was found Christmas Eve in the outdoors runs at Lake County Animal Control, he was incredibly lucky to make it through the night alive. He needed immediate vet care because he was freezing, super skinny, sick with an upper respiratory infection, and had a tooth abscess. He was hospitalized for about a week before he was stable enough to go into a foster home.
Kris is about 10 years old and about 11 pounds. He's quiet, easy, and sweet. He wants nothing more than a bit of love and a warm home. After his obviously incredibly tough life, he really deserves it.
Kris's adoption fee is $200, he is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella), has tested negative for heart-worms, had a negative fecal test, and is microchipped.
The first step to adopt Kris is to read all about adoption with Happy Tails Rescue Inc. and fill out an application. If we think your home sounds like a good fit we'll be in touch. Click here to go to our web site: www.happytailsrescueinc.org/adoption-available-dogs

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Northwest Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
