My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gwen is a sweet, 1 year old girl who came to MAGDRL in January after being confined to a kennel run at a vet's for 6 weeks. She originally lived with 7 other dogs, of all sorts. Gwen is slightly cow hocked but it does not effect her ability to run (which she loves to do) or get around. When Gwen was still growing she did not get the nutrition she needed and it caused some issues with her bones. While it does not limit her at all, she does stand a bit crouched and had an odd gate. The vets have said there is nothing to be done for it other than good food and regular exercise.

She is underweight (currently only 105) and a little shy at first but a very happy Dane! Gwen has gotten along with the older male Dane with whom she lives and has not shown any signs of food or toy aggression. We are working on potty training and commands, but she already she knows sit, down, and no. In her previous home she did have formal training so we are just working on reminders at this point. She walks with a gentle leader although she isn't fond of it. She sleeps well through the night and easily goes into her crate with a treat. Gwen is getting used to car rides and I think she'll love them with more experience.

Lady Gwen is such a loving Dane, she just needs love and more meals!
