My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Hank. I used to live on the streets in a rather questionable neighborhood. It was a hard life. I didn’t have very much to eat & I caught an awful skin disease called scabies. I was full of scabs & bald spots & it itched so much. I was skin & bones, only 8 lbs - my pelvic stuck out. Then one day I smelled tuna & walked into a humane trap. The door slammed shut & I couldn’t get out (but at least I ate)! I was taken to the vet & they neutered me & gave me the vaccines all kitties should have. They also gave me medicine to clear up the scabies so now I have a beautiful “smoke” coat (white underneath). They did a combo test & I tested positive for Feline Aids. It doesn’t bother me one bit, as long as I’m kept inside & taken care of I can live a long, healthy life. I’m currently in a foster home with other cats & I don’t mind them at all. Feline Aids is only contracted through a bite wound & I’m a very gentle boy. Not by sharing dishes or grooming other cats. I really love living in a home where I’m safe, warm, well cared for & get two meals a day. Oh, how I love my cat food - I now weigh 14 lbs! I also like being brushed & catnip toys. My foster parents say I’m the friendly boy with white underwear. I would love a home of my own, please consider adopting me…
