Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shorty is Ready to go to his forever home!! He is one we pulled out of the culvert that he had made his home for at least the 5 previous days. This cutie pie is fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and sleeps with his foster Mom every night! =) At approximately a year-and-a-half, he is all of 20 pounds and gets along great with dogs of all sizes. He has no idea that he's.... SHORT! His best dog-buddy in the foster home weighs about 65 pounds! He wants to play with the cats, too, but they keep giving him the smack-down! The foster mom says he hasn't had an accident in the house in a while; so, we are hopeful that he's got the idea, now! We think Shorty may be a Basset/Dachshund mix? He's small and short like the Dachshund, but his splayed stance, heavy bones, and joints just scream Basset. There even might be a bit of Beagle in there, too; but, who knows for sure? We DO know that he's cute-as-a-bug, affectionate, intelligent, and fun-loving. Not afraid of a thing, and sooo happy to be alive! If you think Shorty is the guy for you, please apply today! You will find more pictures of him And the online pet adoption application near his photos on our website: www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org
