Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW!
Ginger is a young chihuahua who is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs about 6 lbs. she was surrendered to our organization by her former family who unsuccessfully attempted to breed her and then decided they could no longer keep her. She is now spayed and ready for a home where she can enjoy being a puppy. Ginger appears to have been treated poorly in her former home. She is the sweetest dog you will meet, full of wags and kissss. She cowers a bit when petted as if she’s been hit in the past. She loves to curl up in your lap and has a silly personality when she feels comfortable. She really needs a calm home where she can build her self confidence and get lots of love and attention. She is a quiet dog who gets along fine with her foster friends, but tends to seek attention from people more than other dogs. She is working on potty training with potty pads-she appears to have never been outside so she does not understand the concept of pottying in the grass.
We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, and some areas in MD. We can not accept applications from other states at this time.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html
Our adoption fees are on our application.
All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.
We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.
We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
