Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Applications for Dexter will be accepted in person at our next event. Submitted online applications will be disregarded. Please visit our site at www.espnova.org or our Facebook page for future event times and updates.**
Hello! My name is Dexter. I am a fluffy, energetic, curious pup looking for my forever home.
I’m about nine weeks old and because I’m so young, I still have a lot to learn. Here in my foster home, my big foster brothers are teaching me lots of new things every day. My human foster brother helps me learn things that I can’t do in the house like unrolling allllll the toilet paper in the bathroom or eating the Christmas tree. He also helped me learn how to go up and down the stairs which was really tough for a small guy like me! He’s really good at snuggling, and after long day of playing, I really enjoy that. My two dog foster brothers are very, very big. They have really helped me learn how to be part of the pack. We enjoy playing lots of games together like tug-of-war and wrestling. They’re also helping me understand that when our human fosters go out of the house, it’s OK because they always come back to give us more love.
I’m still working on potty training, but my foster mom tells me I’m doing a good job. I only pee in the house every now and than, and I do my best to go on the potty pad... but sometimes I miss. My fosters tell me that it’s ok because accidents happen and to keep trying! I also am still trying to understand why I can’t eat their shoes... I can’t help myself! They smell so good!
I think I’d really like to find a home that has lots going on because I have lots of energy and need to stay busy. I’d also like to be with a family that has other dogs to play with and to keep me company when where alone.
I am a very well behaved puppy although sometimes my curiosity gets me into trouble. You should also know that the very first thing you have to do when you get home is pick me up and give me a hug! I’ve missed you! I really enjoy car rides, especially when I have a nice soft blanket to lay on.
I’m a very good boy when I’m taken out... I had my first outing this weekend and even got to take my picture with Santa! (I Believe!). He told me that I was on his Good Doggo list and that he would bring me a surprise Christmas morning! Maybe it will be a big bone... or maybe it’ll be news that the Empty Shelter Project has found me a forever home! And that could be your home! So if you think that I could be an amazing addition to your family, send in an application! I hope I get to meet you soon! Byeeeee!
