My story

Hi! My name is Monica. I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dog after dog being led to slaughter for human consumption - until it was my turn... DoVE Project heard about me and now here I am in the LA area, in search of my forever home!

My 5 siblings and I were born on 9/1/17 at a private home owned by an elderly man who raised his own dogs to slaughter and eat during the summer. He used to make feasts for his relatives and friends on these three hottest summer days. He always kept a male and a female dogs that mated each year for several decades in Ilsan, Korea. He then got very sick. His son and daughter in law came to visit my guardian angel and told her about the dogs their father had and they asked her to take them to safety. So early November, she took all of us to her home and took care of us. Now, I am here, and I hope to meet my family very soon.

I'm a very pretty and playful girl. I love everyone and will give you so many kisses. I'm a Jindo mix, approximately 4 months old. We Jindos are known for our intelligence, loyalty and gentle nature. We make great house dogs but also enjoy romps in nature. I'm a healthy, happy, and loving baby girl. I hope I can meet you very soon!
