Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rainbow was a stray found in NYC with paws that were crusted with thick, urine soaked mats and long nails. She had various mats around her body and behind her ears, but a nice groomer was kind enough to take her on Christmas Eve and spiff her up! Rainbow sat patiently throughout her grooming; she is the quintessential lady, always on her best behavior. Her age is approximately 5-7 years old.
Rainbow has two bladder stones and will be having surgery to remove them on January 4th. She is very underweight, but as she’s settled in to her foster home, she is slowly eating more and more. The fur on her back and legs is thin which is vastly different from the nice thick fur on her head. She has the biggest eyes and her foster mom has taken to calling her “Bette Davis.”
From what the foster mom can tell about her personality thus far, she is sweet and friendly, but not needy and overly demanding of attention. She goes to the door when she wants to go outside and appears comfortable with going outside on her own to do her business. She also seems to know the purpose of a wee wee pad, so has duel training.
After her mini spa treatment, Rainbow picked out a stunning red sweater with a pleated black skirt. She feels ready fir a much brighter 2018!
If you are interested in adopting Rainbow please an application at this link: http://www.bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html
Please be detailed in your application. You must live within 2 hours or so driving distance of Northern NJ or Poughkeepsie NY where she is currently being fostered.
