My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hans is a TOTAL lovebug, the absolute definition of a Velcro dog! His foster works from home and reports he rests his head on her lap while she’s working, just to be near – how sweet is that?? He just wants to stand as close as possible without touching you, since it technically doesn't count!!!

Hans lives with a cat (and has been caught snuggling with him even) who he gets along with perfectly as well as two large dogs. He has slight resource guarding with the large dogs and bones, but quickly redirects with just a look or word. This boy would be the perfect dog for a family with big dog experience, as he seeks comfort from a confident owner who will set and maintain boundaries.

Hans is not destructive in the house (he doesn’t even destroy plush toys!) and is completely housetrained. He is very food motivated and loves to learn new tricks and practice old ones. He is a huge fan of car rides and walks, anything where he gets to go on an adventure with his people! In fact, he begins excitedly spinning and hopping around at the hint of a ride, becoming his alter ego “Mr. Crazy Pants!”

This boy is truly a GENTLE giant. He is mellow and calm and loves to please his owners. He is perfectly content playing in the yard for fifteen minutes, then snoozing on the couch for five hours! You couldn’t ask for a sweeter soul who ALSO respects the home – he’s a great boy and any family would be lucky to have him.
