My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello and good afternoon everyone I would like to formerly introduce myself my name is #GingerBPFF...I am as you know one of the new pups of Barky Pines...and I would like to share my story with you....well I had wandered off my property a while back...and I kept on walking till I was completely lost...I walked across the street...and was hit by a car...yup...I wobbled away...and laid on the wet grass...my leg was killing me...and I was very very sad...to know I was all alone in this big world.....thank goodness someone saw me...and decided to come to help....they gently picked me up...and put me in their car...they saw I had no identification on me...so they did what your supposed to do...and they took me to Animal Care and Control...when we got there...they were all so nice to me...they took my picture...and gave me a necklace with numbers on it....and brought me right in to see the doctor...I was cut up on my legs and feet...and my bad leg was killing me....they gave me some medicine for the pain...and they wrapped my leg up so I couldn’t bend it...I was beginning to wonder...what will ever happen to me now...who’s ever gonna want a young girl like this...but they assured me there...as if they knew what I was thinking...that they were going to send out a rescue and surely someone would want to help me...get the medical attention I so needed...they contacted several places...and can you guess who answered the call? Yessss it was aunt Liz with Barky Pines...she talked back and forth with them and it was decided that if Dr. Hansen could look at my x-rays and see whether or not I needed surgery...then they would know if I could go to Barky Farms...sooo the other day...I got to meet aunt Mary...she is aunt Liz’s sister....she drove to ACC to pick me up and take me to see the doctor...I instantly thanked her by giving her sweet puppy kisses...she seemed to like it cause she wouldn’t stop smiling at me...she slowly walked me out to her car...and gently placed me inside...we drove to see Dr. Hansen...and when he came in...he said I needed to have my surgery as soon as possible...well that wasn’t what I wanted to hear...that’s for sure...but when he spoke with aunt Mary...they decided to call aunt Liz...he told her...what was going on and that he would do whatever it took to help them help me...I was so moved at that very moment to know that so many people cared about me...my heart was ready to pound out of my chest...aunt Liz said she would do something called a fund raiser to get the money needed for my surgery...and Dr. Hansen was very pleased to hear that...they decided to do my surgery the following tuesday...so I knew that someday soon...the pain would start to go away...it was time to leave and head to the farm...I said goodbye to the good doctor...and off aunt Mary and I went to the farm...it was a beautiful ride out to the country...and when we arrived...I finally got to meet aunt Liz and uncle Steve...she had such a warm loving look in her eyes when she saw me...and told me not to worry...that they were all going to take wonderful care of me...and one day soon...before you know it...I will be good as new...and I believed her...she had a cozy place for me to rest...with warm bed...and a delicious bowl of food...I felt so safe and secure at that moment...and knew no harm would ever come to me again...my heart was so full of love for this family...who decided without hesitation...to help a complete stranger...what a blessing...I rested a few days...then surgery day came...aunt Mary drove me all the way to Dr. Hansen’s office in another town...and she was sad to say goodbye to me I know it...cause it’s scary when your children have to have surgery...but she assured me that Dr. Hansen would fix me all up...and off I went...to get my rest...the next day...I had my surgery...and everything went great...Dr. H. said I’ll be better before you know it...I must get plenty of rest...and take my medicine like a good girl he said I am...and that’s just what I plan to do...well I better go back to rest a bit...thank you all for reading my story...thank you for caring...and especially...for sharing...your friend...Ginger...woof woof

P.S. I had the pin removed from my leg the other day...and what a wonderful Christmas present to be able to walk again...on all fours...I am truly blessed by all the support from my Barky Pines family...and friends like you...woof woof
