My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jinx! She is currently in foster care with her adoption ambassador and is available to adopt directly through our ASPCA Adoption Ambassador Program! Jinx is about 8 weeks old. She is absolutely stunning with her big blue eyes, seal point markings, and little dappling on her feet and tail! Her fur is like a thick velvet. She's amazing...

Jinx's foster ambassador says Jinx is a total princess and really needs a quiet home... one where there isn't much stress. She is extremely gentle, playful, but doesn't bite or scratch hard or with great intensity. She would do well in a home with a mellow little dog (she's already familiar with living with one), but big dogs may cause her distress. When Jinx was found as a tiny baby, she had been chased and cornered by a couple of large dogs who frightened her greatly. She likely would benefit best in a home with mellow older children who are respectful of being gentle (she is easily scared off by loud, sudden noises or rough housing). For the past several weeks, Jinx has only been an indoor kitty. She is also VERY good at hiding. She sometimes will disappear in the house for a long period of time... only to show up in a close place. One of her favorite hiding spots at her foster home is on top of the books in the bookcase - she's quite the little bookworm! Like to chat? So does Jinx. She isn't really loud, but she does get chatty at times, meowing to let you know what's on her mind. Her foster ambassador also offers insight to some of Jinx's- favorite fixes: "Her favorite toys are playing with string type toys... being pet under the chin and cheeks... running around and under couches... and climbing." We are confident that if given a variety of scratching post textures and a good cat tree... Jinx would love to practice her climbing skills on those and would flourish in the purrfect family setting.

If you are interested in adopting Jinx, please call us at 719-680-2385. We can then put you in contact with her ASPCA Adoption Ambassador (who is located in Trinidad, CO) and perhaps arrange a mini date with Jinx! If you are a match, you would simply adopt her directly through her ambassador. From foster home to forever home!

Jinx's adoption fee is $60 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, 30 days of free pet health insurance, a cardboard cat carrier and a $10 follow up vet visit at Trinidad Animal Clinic.

We do adopt out-of-state, but require adopters to have a plan for getting their new addition home before we process an application.

We are open Monday - Friday 10:30 am to 5 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. You can also call us at 719-680-2385.

Thank you for considering adoption through our shelter! #adoptlove #trinidadcolorado #naawa
