Hi there. My name is Piper, but my foster family calls me Little Man because I’m such a gentleman. I was found walking the streets of Oakland, well I couldn’t walk very well because my coat was so matted. I was very skinny and had an awful cough. To top it off I have trouble seeing clearly because I’m told I have cataracts. Well, suffice it to say I was a mess when the poodle people took me in. I am a little guy- 8 pounds and about 10 years. I am a Malti-Poo ( that’s why I am so cute)
Since coming to the poodle people I have been treated so well. All my mats are gone so I walk fine now. I got medicine for my cough and I was treated for worms so now I’m gaining weight. I have been with two different fosters and they have both fallen in love with me. I have that effect on people, you know. I’m going back to the vet to be neutered, have my teeth cleaned and my nails trimmed so I can look my very best when I meet you. I will be ready around Jan. 7, after i have a little R and R from my surgery.
I told you about my cataracts, well you should know that I get around very well in spite of them. I will occasionally bump gently into a wall, but it’s no big deal. I am smart and can learn my surroundings within a couple of days.
I like to go on walks and sniff the world, but I’m good with 20-30 minutes of that.
I’m a pretty relaxed fella and very quiet. I love to snuggle and I’m an excellent napper. I’m good with kids, although maybe older ones might be best because I can get underfoot. I love other dogs and am untested on cats. I’d love to have a fenced yard or patio so I can explore and not get lost. I’d be perfect for a senior who just wants to love me, take me for short walks and allow me to melt their heart. I have a lot of love to give. You can go to NCPR website and fill out an interest application- you can ask for me, Piper. My people will call your people and we can do a meet and greet. My fee is $300.00
