Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are normally a dog only rescue. As you can see Sugar isn’t a dog. One of our foster mom’s saw Sugar hanging around in her neighborhood. Sugar kept getting thinner and was looking pretty sickly. She started putting food out for her and eventually caught her.
Sugar went in to Iowa Humane Alliance for her vetting. They were able to tell us that Sugar is 7-8 years old and was already spayed. They gave her an ear tip because at that time we thought she was a feral cat. IHA told us Sugar was an indoor cat with no hunting skills which is why she was starving. She had her rabies shot and FVRCP vaccinations.
Sugar really is an indoor cat, she is very affectionate with her humans and seeks their attention. Sugar loves dogs and is good with dogs of all sizes. She will play and snuggle with a dog. Sugar has all of her claws and is not destructive in a home. She uses her litter box and is a happy cat with humans to love her. Our guess is that someone died and she got put outside even though she was not equipped to survive.
If you are interested in meeting Sugar please contact Tammy at 319-330-9940 or tamara-sebolt@uiowa.edu
