My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Guy is a sweet, spoiled boy that likes nothing better than spending time with his people. He would be a wonderful pup to go hiking with on leash. He and his brother, Dozer, are avid critter chasers and will dig after those critters if not watched. The Husky in him means he needs to stay on a leash but the lab does calm him down some. He still has a lot of puppy in him but has outgrown the worst puppy traits. He also doesn’t mind his crate for short periods and sees it as a safe spot to take a nap. He loves children but may be a bit much for some very small children. He loves to give kisses and attention and small children are the right size to be face to face for those kisses. He also thinks he is a lap dog at times and loves snuggling on the couch. Little Guy can be a little shy around other new dogs and may take a little warming up, he has been around many different foster dogs though. He is on the smaller size, thus his name. If you are looking for a very loyal, loving smaller sized pup then Little Guy may be the perfect addition to your family. The boys have had all of their vaccines, been microchipped and neutered and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. More about this rescue

Mush Rescue, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to the rescue and placement of Siberian Huskies. Based in Metro Atlanta, Mush Rescue was founded in 2008 to help displaced Siberians in the community and surrounding areas.

Mush Rescue is not a shelter with visiting hours. We are comprised of a network of foster homes run entirely by volunteers. Our chapter directors, officers and trustees are also volunteers. What brings us together is our love for Siberians and the desire to help these displaced animals find forever homes.

As a nonprofit, federally tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization, our expenses are funded entirely by adoption fees and donations. We rely on the generosity of others who, like us, understand and admire the complexity of this unique and highly intelligent breed, and who want to help combat the effects of pet overpopulation in our community.

The Siberian Husky is an extremely smart but often misunderstood breed, which is why so many end up in rescue. Their high energy and need for mental and physical stimulation require an owner who is willing to put a great deal of time and effort into their care. Because of this, Siberians are not recommended for the first-time dog owner.
