Meet Cookie! She is a sweet, 6 year old Wheaten Terrier. Her previous owner was in the military and had orders to move somewhere Cookie could not go. So at, no fault of her own, she is now in the market for a new home! She is an adult, already spayed, housebroken, knows basic commands and is crate trained but she definitely needed a tune up at our vet. She is currently being treated for an ear infection but will be available to adopt as soon as it clears up. Our vet thought she may have food allergies which causes an excess build up of yeast in her ears and that may be the reason for her ear infections. It's possible, she may need regular ear drops to keep her ears healthy, but we have her started on grain free kibble to see if it helps and, we are hoping that with the correct diet, her ear infections will be a thing of the past! Cookie is nervous when she meets someone new, but will also want to cuddle up with you for comfort. She loves to be pet and will come closer to lean into you if you stop. She would like a stable home where she can have the time to get comfortable and open up. She gets along with kids and small dogs but would probably prefer to be the only pet. When she is with other animals, she is fine most of the time, but does have issues sharing. She can be possessive of her toys and will guard her food. She doesn't do this with people, just animals. We hate to make Cookie sound like a difficult pup! She is actually very easy, quiet and mellow! In the right home, she will flourish and be a wonderful, pet!
