My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say "hello" to our beautiful little GSD, Cleopatra, who is as majestic as her namesake! Canines & Company came across Cleo at our local Chicago Animal Care and Control and were immediately hooked by her energetic and friendly personality. She is a petite little girl, around 50lbs. and appears to be a mostly purebred German Shepherd. We believe Cleo to be around 2 years old.

Over the time we have gotten to know Cleo, she has proven to be very smart and social with all people, including children. She currently goes into playgroups with dogs at Found Training Center, the facility she is boarding at, and will do well with dogs after a structured intro. She will definitely chase cats, so we do not recommend she be placed with small animals. Cleo is definitely your typical shepherd with her high energy, loyal personality, and intelligence. She would thrive in an active home and we would prefer her adopter have previous experience with working breeds who understands their needs.

Cleo is competent on basic obedience and a "place" command to hold her spot on a bed or dog cot. She is even working on some off leash training to allow her more freedom to exercise. Her $200 adoption fee comes with a free six week group course for a smooth transition into her new family!
