Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I would love to have a new forever home before 2018 and I know there is the right home for me out there somewhere. Hi, my name is Panda and I am a purebred, tri-color, rough collie. I am around 6-7 years old and such a sweet, gentle guy. My owners released me to rescue because there was illness in the family and they could no longer afford to keep me. I was so shy and withdrawn when I arrived,maybe because I had to be shaved because of matting and ticks and fleas or maybe because I had lived my whole life in one place and being suddenly removed and taken to a new place was so stressful I could not adapt quickly. I have made great strides and now love my foster family and can't wait to be loved and petted. I wag my tail with happiness now and talk a lot and let you know I am happy. It may take me a while to adjust to a new, forever home, but if you will have patience with me and love me and keep me close I will be your best friend. I have been around children, but children over 10 would probably be best. I get along with dogs, but being an only dog will suit me just fine. I will only be adopted to a household where someone is home most of the time. I am neutered, current on shots, on heartworm preventive and microchipped. I walk well on a leash, but please do not pull on it, something happened in my life that causes me to back away from you if you pull on my neck.
