My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is an adorable little chihuahua with quite a story. He came from a trailer park where his owners moved and left him behind. He lived homeless at the trailer part for almost a year. Sadly, careless residents would throw things at him and try to shoo him away when he was starving for food and a warm home. Interestingly enough, according to the park owner, it was the children who lived in the park who would sneak him food and do whatever they could to make sure he was the most cared for they could do on their own. Because the park tenants were mean to him, it was a very difficult task to catch him....
Finally he was caught and hauled away to the dog pound where his fate would be uncertain.
Thankfully volunteers for the pound and our group saved this boy and got him into
Foster care!
Since going into foster he has shown what a handsome ham he can be! He has excellent manners in the house and has shown us that he LOVES other animals. Given his history- we think he will thrive in a home with other animals... And a home who understands he's not going to immediately cuddle with you. He may lay on the couch next to you but he's not a huge Velcro dog with people. He loves his humans but just isn't the kind of dog to be all over them and need them around all the time. He's a little more independent than that.
Max has been fully vetted and is in tip top health!
He will love a home with parents who will enjoy a sweet but independent trained pup who is grateful for a warm, safe home... And may like him to be a companion for a little dog or cat:-)

Max had such a tough start in life/ we know there must be a wonderful family with big hearts who would love to welcome him into their home and give him a life where he can finally feel stable love and comfort.
