My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Northfield, Massachusetts. Nine is Divine! It means that at 9 years old, I'm perky, happy, and love to go for walks. But then, I chill and take nice long naps. My foster mom says I checked out fine at the vet & am ready for a fur-ever home. Woo hoo! The ideal adopter knows how to go slow and doesn’t have small, active children. I am blind in one eye so quick movements around my head are confusing. If you're in a rush and open the door quickly, I might bump my head. It takes me a little while to warm up but then I'm your best friend, your companion. Your sidekick! I want more walking and playtime than with my original family. Too much alone time makes me chew on my tail sometimes. I whine for a few minutes when you leave me alone but then I settle in and take a nice, long nap. I'm incredibly house-broken but enjoy 3 good potty breaks plus a nice walk. Around the block here in Western Massachusetts is a couple of miles so I like to walk briskly alternating with sniff & piddle for 30-40 minutes. I'm currently 23 lbs, a few lbs over what I should be. My foster mom thinks good food, play, and exercise will take care of that. I don't have a lot of experience with other dogs but I'm well-behaved when I meet them. Mostly I ignore them, especially the boisterous youngster types. I also met a cat and was very curious but the cat hissed & jumped out of the way when I leaned in for a good, long sniff. Do you need a sidekick? Are you a good pet parent? Do you have a great vet like who can check my weight, lumps & bumps, and eyes & ears each year? Then, ask my foster mom about meeting me.
