Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 1/4/09: Cocoa was adopted 2 years ago but has come back to us because of a seriously ill baby. Cocoa is now about 4 years old and weighs a whopping 35 pounds, but he's the same wiggly sweetheart that we remembered. Needless to say he started on a diet as soon as he arrived. We'll post updated photos soon to show how nice his coat looks these days... no more bald spots for Cocoa.
Cocoa is very affectionate and prefers to be by your side at all times. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't need to be in charge. Other dogs, even some of our personal dogs who aren't normally very dog friendly, love Cocoa. Although he is young and playful, he is very gentle with small kids and would love to have one of his own. Cocoa does have a lot of energy but will settle down and snuggle too.
Cocoa was found as a stray in Desoto County but went unclaimed at the shelter. Cocoa is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is on heartworm preventative and Frontline. He had 2 hot spots on his back when we got him, but they've healed up and his skin is looking great although the fur has been slow to grow back. Cocoa does have allergies and needs a family that will be willing to treat and manage them throughout his life.
