My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cortez.  This good natured dog was impounded at a busy shelter in July.  Month after month went by and not one person through Cortez was worthy of a forever home.  Cortez participated in the shelters "play for life" play groups (supervised play groups at the shelter). He did great in those groups and was good with the other dogs.  He also got the prestigious A on his temperament test.  This is a shelter administered temperament test.  An A is an impressive score - especially considering the stress dogs are under in the shelter environment.  This says a lot about Cortez' sweet personality.  
Cortez is an amazingly sweet guy and loves to be around other dogs (he would do best in a home with another dog). AND - he LOVES kids. His foster home had an infant and a toddler and he was gentle and loving with them both. He is house trained and well behaved in the home. He has been patently waiting for a forever family to call his own.
